Aarushi Murder Case: Talwars to be released from jail today

Watched by a huge crowd, the Talwars, each holding bags, walked out of the Dasna prison in Ghaziabad and paused - Rajesh Talwar in a white shirt and dark pants and Nupur Talwar in a salwar kurta - letting multiple cameras capture their first few moments of freedom.

Dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, who have been acquitted in the murder case of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, have finally left Dasna jail in Ghaziabad on Monday.

Within 48 hours of the murders on 16 May 2008, IG Gurdarshan Singh declared at the press conference that the prime suspect was Dr Rajesh Talwar and even attributed an honour killing angle to the double murders, without having an iota of evidence to back his theory.

However, the court rejected the CBI's claim of lack of evidence.
