Facebook users can now PayPal in Messenger

24 October 2017

As of now, Facebook and PayPal have teamed up and announced their partnership which will allow users to send and receive money via Messenger.

PayPal and Facebook's relationship has grown since the companies a year ago began to let US customers shop from online merchants using Messenger chatbots, then making a payment with PayPal. But now it's gotten probably a major boost as PayPal has been added as a funding source for peer-to-peer or P2P payments.

In India, messenger app Hike already allows the same with its peer-to-peer (P2P) payments system, launched earlier this year.

DeAndre Jordan to Eric Bledsoe: 'Come Back Home Bro'
Watson was promoted from assistant to interim coach of the Suns after Jeff Hornacek was sacked February 1, 2016. He said he's already received calls from teams about Bledsoe's availability and he planned to answer them.

The addition of PayPal to Messenger's growing roster of bots feeds into Messenger's larger vision of becoming a go-to platform for businesses that want to reach users and users who crave customer service without having to talk to someone.

It's also worth noting that Messenger users in the USA have been able to pay one another inside the app since March 2015, requiring people to enter their debit card information as a method of payment.

Facebook Messenger (FB) and PayPal (PYPL) just got a little closer. Just select PayPal option from the available option and you will be done. This bot will help you in tasks like answering questions, requests for help and resetting passwords.

PayPal eventually will roll out the service globally, which may take some time considering the massive user base of both companies: Messenger's 1.3 billion and PayPal's 218 million active users.

The tech giant, Facebook keep on introducing new feature to make it more user friendly. For the operation to work, all you have to do is simply tap on the "+" icon which will bring up a green payment button.
