18 October 2017

The 5G modem was first announced a year ago, but yesterday it appeared as the X50 in a test within a brand new Qualcomm reference design handset that the company will be using to test 5G in the run-up to market. It comes with X12 LTE modem which supports a peak download speed of up to 600 Mbps. To the test modem was able to reach speeds of more than 1 Gbit per second. Now, the company has successfully completed the first trial test of the X50 modem.

5G, the next generation in wireless technology is going to come combined with the benefits of current high-speed 4G LTE with something faster, more abundant and notably cheaper but i.e., when it comes of course.

Israel Retaliates After Syrian Missile Attack
IDF Spokesman Ron Manelis stated that the incident "was a Syrian provocation, and we will not tolerate it". "Our policy is clear". The SA-5, also known as the S-200, is a Russian-designed anti-aircraft system that has been in use since the late 1960s.

It's expected that 5G connectivity will eventually provide unthrottled bandwidth and ease the congestion that current 4G/LTE networks now experience. This is because millimeter-wave used by 5G modem would have difficulty in indoor propagation unless indoor signal repeaters are used.

Qualcomm followed the same design approach as several manufacturers releasing their mobile offerings in 2017; 9mm thick and rocking an edge-to-edge display.

With the introduction of Snapdragon 636, we can soon expect the introduction of smartphones with an advanced resolution that won't burn a hole in consumer's pockets.
