Six-time Olympic medalist and three-time gold-winning gymnast Aly Raisman is the latest to allege sexual abuse by Dr. Larry Nassar, a MI doctor who worked with the United States gymnastics team. She is, so far, the highest-profile gymnast to come forward with allegations. She said that she was first treated by Nassar when she was 15 years old.
She said, "Why are we looking at why didn't the girls speak up?"
"I am angry and I'm really upset", Raisman told 60 Minutes.
"What did USA Gymnastics do, and Larry Nassar do, to manipulate these girls so much that they are so afraid to speak up?" she said. In an interview with "60 Minutes" that will air Sunday, a clearly agitated Raisman spoke out against not only Nassar but the environment created by USA Gymnastics. She said she feels as though the organizations were more concerned with protecting their image and protecting themselves legally than with preventing abuse in the future. Maroney said she was abused beginning at 13, and it lasted until she was finished competing.
Raisman discusses her experiences in a new book, "Fierce", CBS News reported.

They have also amassed a huge library of more than 1,000 awesome games, offering something for players of any age. This makes it the first media streaming service available for Nintendo's latest console.
Raisman said she spoke to FBI investigators after serving as national team captain at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
In a preview for the 60 Minutes interview, Raisman, who is now 23, does not detail the alleged sexual abuse by Nassar, but said she was first treated by him when she was 15-years old. Maroney revealed allegations in a tweet on October 18, in which she included the hashtag #MeToo.
The list of Nassar's accusers also includes several former national team members.
"I had a dream to go to the Olympics, and the things that I had to endure to get there, were unnecessary, and disgusting", Maroney wrote.
"Whether or not he did it to a gymnast, they still knew him".
Meet the Transgender Americans Who Won on Election Day
Roem, 33, is now also set to make history as the first openly transgender person to be elected and seated in a state legislature. Roem has become the first openly transgender person to serve in the House of Delegates after defeating Republican incumbent Del.
Dr. Nassar accepted a plea deal in July that would have him serve a combined sentence of 22-27 years for possession of child pornography, rather than charge him with sexual assault - a widely criticized move prosecutors justified by saying that numerous allegations they heard occurred overseas, where they have no jurisdiction. The scandal, revealed in late 2016, has shaken the discipline and led to the resignation in March of the president of the American Federation, Steve Penny.
The former athlete, who claims to be "angry", wants to "just bring change" so that young gymnasts "never have to live this again".
It was commissioned by USA Gymnastics and conducted by Deborah Daniels, a former Federal prosecutor, who spent a significant portion of her career prosecuting child sexual offenders, and scrutinised the organisation's methods.
"We are committed to doing what is right, and we want to work with Aly and all interested athletes to keep athletes safe", USA Gymnastics said.
USA Gymnastics launched an independent review of its policies in the wake of the allegations against Nassar in the summer of 2016, following reporting by the Indianapolis Star that highlighted chronic mishandling of abuse allegations against coaches and staff at some of its more than 3,500 clubs across the country.
