It is chilly and we have seen a good bit of rain across Central Georgia over the past couple of days. Most communities are in the mid 40s.

The U.S. National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories in parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. This includes places in Alabama like Thomasville, Grove Hill, Jackson, Millry and Butler.

Sunday night: A 30 percent chance of snow after 1 a.m., low around 26. If it does fall, it will be the first snow the state has seen this season.

However, the majority of the region will see a cold rain. Rain and snow lines don't stop magically at county lines.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy, low around 14. "Black ice" issues will likely linger into Saturday morning.

We've had a few reports of sleet Thursday afternoon, but it has been mainly rain so far in the forecast.
