Instagram will show three to five suggested posts in the new section. Another highlight of the post is that if you don't like this new feature, you can always choose to hide it. After all, even with the "recommended posts" feature, the posts you care about from the accounts you follow will always be available on your feed. "Hiding" the posts will not permanently remove them from the main feed but it will hide them until the user has gone through all of the posts from accounts they are actually following. On a related note, Instagram few days ago rolled out a new feature to boost its Live Video engagement. Referred to as "recommended posts", this feature has not been well received by the users. The only problem is that the help post says that you can "temporarily hide" these posts, so will we have to constantly hide this feature after its re-enabled by Instagram? These posts are shown as "Recommended for You" in between the feed.

Police sources tell News 12 that Barry Wells is in custody and is being questioned in connection to his wife Tonie Wells' death. Amid that murky and complicated relationship is the fact that many women who report violence feel invalidated by the police.
It can deter users who prefer separate feeds. Earlier this month, the platform launched an update that allows users to follow hashtags. Named hashtags, Instagram said it is similar to following a friend and can be invoked once the user taps on a hashtag on another post. But there is actually a big difference in that the hashtag feature allows you to opt-in while the "Recommended for You" section can not be disabled. Users may be less inclined to hit "like" when posts are more prominently visible to their friends.
