Police probe Israeli settlers after Palestinian shot dead in West Bank clash

In October, a seven-year-old Palestinian girl was hospitalised after settlers threw stones at her family's vehicle in the occupied city.

According to the group, police questioned them on suspicion of negligent use of weapons and causing death by negligence.

Clashes erupted between Palestinians in the village, located southeast of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, following Friday prayers that were held at the site where Mahmoud Odeh, 48, was shot dead by an Israeli settler on Thursday.

When they arrived near the Palestinian village of Qusra, they were attacked by several local residents.

Police said the "unconventional explosive device" contained no detonator and was incapable of exploding. The Brandenburg Police Department, which covers Potsdam , posted a tweet saying the device was an IED.

One of the settlers then opened fire, striking a stone thrower.

According to human rights activists, the slain Palestinian was working in his field when he was shot, and the mob only arrived at the scene later.

Avraham Binyamin, a spokesperson for the Yitzhar settlement, said the hike was part of a "bar mitzvah trip for one of the children".

Israeli cab drivers had sued Uber, as did Gett, a taxi service previously known as GetTaxi. In September, Uber was banned from operating in London for flouting safety regulations.

"When the farmers tried to push the settlers out of their farms", the eyewitness said, "an armed settler aimed his pistol towards a Palestinian farmer and opened fire". They were later rescued by Israeli security forces.

"A disturbance broke out. involving dozens of Palestinians, during which one of the hikers shot at the rioters in self-defence", the Jerusalem Post quoted a statement as saying.

"The investigation is continuing and police units are searching for the suspect who fled the scene", said a police spokesman. Israel says a lot of them were attackers and that others died in clashes with Israeli forces.

It was not immediately clear if the Israelis coordinated their hike with the military, as is generally required in the West Bank.
