WWE Clash of Champions 2017: Rumors you need to know

18 December 2017

On Sunday night, the 2017 WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view will take place.

Clash of Champions 2017 is tomorrow night and it's packed with intense action, intriguing matches, and interesting storylines.

Teams have not been announced yet, but it will be a single elimination mixed tag team tournament. Maybe they'll find something for Tye Dillinger to do.

Breezango vs The Bludgeon Brothers. There's always a chance they put over Ryder and have Rawley destroy him afterward, but my guess is they keep it simple. In other words, the man doesn't admit defeat easily. Although Zack Ryder won a battle royal for a tag title shot, he busted up his leg and was off TV for months. Breeze is the only person to face Jushin "Thunder" Liger in a WWE ring while Fandango defeated Chris Jericho in his WWE debut, at WrestleMania nonetheless. Winners: The Bludgeon (Mario) Brothers.

Ryan Shazier makes surprise appearance at Steelers-Pats game
The Steelers didn't just lose again to the Patriots, they had their eight-game winning streak snapped in the worst imaginable way. Two plays later Ben Roethelisberger fake-spiked it and ended up throwing an interception in the end zone to Duron Harmon .

The former Wyatt Family members are on their way to being the Usos' toughest challengers and Breezango is merely a stepping stone.

This match should be a one on one match between Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode. However, the poor booking of Roode suggests that the WWE does not have faith in him. But how would the WWE explain it? Is Ziggler in the match so he can take the pin rather than Corbin?

Clash of Champions is also the last WWE PPV before the 2018 Royal Rumble, which marks the unofficial beginning of the road to WrestleMania. The stipulation is that Kevin and Sami are fired from the entire WWE if they lose. The two main events of the show feature Jinder Mahal and two (yes, two) special guest referees. Imagine Bryan, Owens and Zayn on the same side and hoping the fans boo.

The Usos defend the blue brand tag team championships in a Fatal Four-Way against the New Day, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin and Aiden English & Rusev. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin won and lost that spot very quickly, while The New Day is just in this match due to their legacy.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to marry on 19 Could 2018
Myrtle has been in the bouquet of every royal bride since Queen Victoria married Prince Albert in 1840. St George's Chapel is a Royal Peculiar, with the Dean of Windsor responsible only to the sovereign.

The Usos just play hot potato with the titles for months, so there is no reason for that to continue here.

Charlotte and Natalya have had many nice matches together. I will also be surprised if she drops the title back to Natalya. However, there's the lingering presence of Carmella, who still holds the Money in the Bank briefcase.

AJ Styles will be taking on Jinder Mahal. In his first run with the company, he was at the bottom of the barrel in 3MB. Now, the Modern Day Maharaja has his contractually obligated rematch. Styles retains here while Mahal focuses on earning his next opportunity at the Rumble, and Styles can finally start working towards a match with Shinsuke Nakamura.

Jazz will re-evaluate Rudy Gobert (knee) in two weeks
On Saturday, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reported Gobert was diagnosed with a sprained PCL in his left knee. Gobert was nearly immediately ruled out for the rest of the game after playing just under two minutes.
