CES 2018 is just days away and that must be why LG is kicking its publicity efforts into high gear with some genuinely jaw-dropping new technology like their latest experimental 8K OLED TV. Higher resolution is achieved by reducing the size of each pixel and in turn aperture ratio, unavoidably reducing brightness.
In other words, this experimental new OLED UHD TV is an absolute monster of advanced technology. From what we have heard so far, the display boasts 33 million pixels, four times that of 3,840x2,160 ultra high definition and 16 times more pixels than 1,920x1,080 full high definition.
More details, including pricing, should be revealed when the display is shown at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 9 to 12, 2018. "OLED is clearly a next-generation technology leader and for this reason, LG Display is accelerating its research and development into OLED so that we can provide differentiated products to customers and markets".
Congress MLA slaps on-duty police, gets slapped in return
Rahul is in Shimla on Friday to review the party's performance in the recently held assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh. The BJP wrested power from the Congress , winning close to a two thirds majority with 44 seats in the 68-member Assembly.
In a world saturated with 1080p and 4K TVs, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. The image of the TV released by LG is also equally stunning, to say the least, though the only problem here - if it can be so said - is that there isn't any 8K content to view on the TV just yet.
Burn-in is a fact of life for OLED displays, including the iPhone X's Super Retina display.
Gabriel Jesus: Manchester City striker out for 'one or two months'
Guardiola said last week that the striker will decide his own future, but remains a key player in his plans this season. The injuries could speed up a move for Arsenal attacker Sanchez, who was close to joining City in the summer.
LGD said it uses its in-house innovations in panel design and fine processing to create 8K resolution OLED displays. Now making an 88-inch 8K OLED display was needed because LG had a few thoughts regarding the existing display technology which is LCDs.
Since OLEDs do not require backlight units they are also much slimmer and lighter than their LCD counterparts.
While Samsung is following a different path, LG still sees competition from countries like Japan, and the company's display arm has made investments in billions of dollars to increase production and take OLED displays mainstream.
IMA strike: Hospital Services affect in Odisha
The members of IMA describe the bill as "anti-people and anti-patient" and that it will open "floodgates of corruption". Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has directed the panel to file its report before the Budget session.
