The entirety of PlayStation 4's 5.50 system software update shouldn't be a surprise to most.
Have you downloaded the new PS4 update yet?
The introduction of the Play Time Management feature seems to be the highlight of the update, letting family members track the play time of the child family members on PSN.
For example, a parent can decide that their child is allowed to play their console for a total of two hours each day, but not play at all after 10pm. Child accounts will be notified during gameplay to let them know when to save and quit their game. Once the image has been imported from USB, users can zoom, crop and preview them. With the 5.5 update, you can insert a flash drive that has the image you want, and set it as your background from the Themes tab in Settings.
Spice Girls reunion fuels rumors of comeback
Melanie Chisholm has said the Spice Girls are getting back together because the world needs a little more girl power right now. They reunited for a tour and new music in 2007, and performed at the London Olympics 2012 Closing Ceremony.
And, at long last, update 5.50 will also allow players to set custom wallpapers as their home screen.
The Tournaments team page will be customizable with users' own team logo or background imported from a USB stick.
The Library will now sort your games, the "This PS4" tab lists game you have installed, the tab with your username will list all the games you have purchased (but perhaps have not installed), with another tab showing all your PlayStation Plus treats. The PS4 tab will show you all of the games and apps installed on the PlayStation, while the PSN ID tab will show you all of the content purchased by that individual user. This feature makes it easier to see what games have been purchased but not installed.
Read on for the full list of changes, which are now being experienced by closed trial testers, and will soon be made available to all PS4 owners. If one's PS Plus membership is expired, a PS Plus icon with a lock appears next to games obtained from PS Plus.

PlayStation Now background music: The PlayStation 4's streaming subscription now accommodates music the same as other games played locally from the console. On top of that, pressing the "square" button will let you change up volume controls for both Spotify and PlayStation Music.
When you're on the Media Player or the USB Music Player, "triangle" will work as the shortcut for play or pause, and the "square" button as the volume control.
Making this the third PS4 firmware in a row to tackle the notification menu, this update will allow you to delete old notifications, either individually or in bulk. Xbox One added play limits past year with the Creators Update, and the One X hardware has been supersampling games since last November.
PS4 Pro owners will be ecstatic to see a new "supersampling mode" under Settings, enabling those with HDTVs (i.e., 1080p or less) to enjoy an enhanced visual experience when playing certain games on their PS4.
