One of the most memorable moments in Academy Awards history happened at last year's show when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced the wrong victor for the biggest award of the night, Best Picture.
When Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced La La Land as the best movie of the year instead of actual victor Moonlight, it prompted a storm of ridicule. "La La Land", is what Dunaway read, and so it came to be the wrong picture was announced as the year's best. Which momentarily had the cast and crew of La La Land (as well as viewers at home) convinced they'd won when in reality the victor was fellow indie darling Moonlight. The two acting legends are set to return to the Dolby Theater during the Oscars this year to present Best Picture, TMZ reports.
"The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected", a PricewaterhouseCoopers statement read at the time.

Russia's stance has also been supported by a number of European officials, warning that the move is likely to escalate the crisis in the county's east.
They went through their lines twice, TMZ reported, with Dunaway saying "Presenting is better the.second time around", with Beatty following up with, "The victor is 'Gone with the Wind'". I wasn't trying to be amusing. First, the accountants who worked previous year will not be back.
"Nobody's hiding the fact that it happened, though we are taking measures so that it doesn't happen again".
Dunaway, meanwhile, said of the incident in April 2017 on NBC Nightly News: "I was very guilty, I could have done something surely".

The resolution is part of a longstanding friction between Congress and the executive branch over military involvement overseas. Since then, the U.S. has been helping the Saudi-led coalition with weaponry and logistical support.
The 2018 Academy Awards, which will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the second year in a row, will take place this Sunday.
Lest we forget: after walking up to the podium and opening the envelope at a glacial pace at the end of the four-hour awards show, Beatty appeared confused after opening the envelope. Staff are no longer allowed to look at their phones or social media backstage, and will double-check the envelopes before the presenters take the stage.
