Tiger Woods one shot off lead entering final round of Valspar Championship

12 March 2018

It has been a remarkable return from his fourth back surgery, especially since he wasn't cleared to start hitting balls until five months ago.

"I putted really, really well on the back nine", Rose said.

"I'm up there", Woods said.

"Today was a good day", Woods said.

To be determined was whether Woods remained part of the lead by the end of the second round, where the weather was warmer and the wind more manageable.

Entering Friday, Tiger Woods had not led a golf tournament since August 22, 2015, when he ascended to the top of the leaderboard during the third round of the Wyndham Championship.

Meghan Markle Baptized Into Church of England Ahead of Royal Wedding
Prince Harry immediately brought her over to chat with his favorite Suits star so she could offer some words of encouragement. Dresslikeaduke.com is chronicling the fashion style of Harry, the Duke of Cambridge and other royal men.

"I feel good. I feel like I was playing well at (the Honda Classic in late February)", he continued.

"I was kind of getting a little frustrated".

"I didn't know I had the sole lead", Woods said.

The 14-time Major victor then went into a share of the lead with a birdie at the par-5 fifth hole before the highlight of his round when he chipped-in from some 30-feet behind the flag at the uphill par-4 ninth hole, and with the third birdie of his round momentarily taking Woods into the lead.

As the massive entourage of media, volunteers and random hangers-on with the Woods-Snedeker pairing marched past the practice putting green between the ninth green and the 10th tee, a pair of baby-faced, 20-something golfers looked at each other, shaking their heads, unsure if they should be annoyed or awed. "But hopefully, I can play my game and have a good day". And to have seen him under these circumstances, near the weekend lead, with major season approaching, was something approaching transcendent - even for those who saw it from up close.

Tiger Woods has played consistently well for seven consecutive rounds.

SPRING AHEAD: How much daylight-saving time trivia do you know?
The idea of daylight saving was the brainchild of Benjamin Franklin , aka, the "early to be, early to rise" guy, back in 1784. It passed by a vote of 103-11 in the Florida House and 33-2 in the Florida Senate and is awaiting their governor's signature.

"I came out and tried to have as much fun as possible", he said.

"I've played myself right there into contention so it should be a fun Sunday", he said.

Woods knows better than anyone those days aren't sure to last, but the progress he's made and the work he's put in have led to this moment. "Wasn't really too anxious about what was going on around me".

There was plenty to delight those who came out to cheer for Woods as the 42-year-old carded a four-under 67, earning a share of second with playing partner Brandt Snedeker (67) and Justin Rose (66).

CPTPP countries sign Pacific trade pact
But the original Trans- Pacific Partnership , which included the United States, would have brought together 40 percent. The president has shunned more comprehensive trade agreements in favor of bilateral deals with other countries.
