A Syrian family of four injured in a YPG/PKK terrorist attack near Jinderes town in Syria's Afrin were brought back to their village in the region following their medical treatment at a hospital in Turkey.

The Turkish army and its allies from Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions pushed fighters from the Syrian Kurdish YPG out of the town centre on Thursday following intense clashes, it said, adding that operations to secure the area were continuing.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday vowed to expand Turkey s offensive in Syria against Kurdish militia to key border towns controlled by the group right up to the Iraqi frontier.

"The operations in Afrin will continue until this swamp of terror is dried", Erdogan warned.

Erdogan noted that a total of 815 square kilometres (506 square miles) have been cleared from the terrorists so far.
