The United States Department of Defense is all set to fulfill President Donald Trump's dream of carrying out a military parade in Washington D.C. The route will be from the White House to the U.S. Capitol Building.
"Military vehicles will roll through Washington on November 11" said a Pentagon memo reported by Associated Press. Guidance provided in bullet points instructs that the parade include only wheeled vehicles, not tanks.
But it will not feature tanks rolling between the White House and Capitol to "minimize damage to local infrastructure", the memo says.
The event should include a "heavy air component", the memo continued, but tanks won't be permitted due to their potential to wreck city streets.
Airport Chaos: Technical issues causing major delays at Sydney Airport
A spokeswoman for Brisbane Airport told the Courier Mail security screens were closed for 30 minutes after the breach. Around 6.30am, Sydney Airport reported technical difficulties at the two terminals and urged passengers to be patient.
Additional reporting from Newsy affiliate CNN.
The president might be consoled by plans during the event for an aerial display by military planes, including older aircraft.
Critics have argued that a parade could cost millions of dollars at a time when the Pentagon wants more stable funding for an over-stretched military.
The Joint Staff will be responsible for planning, while the Northern Command will carry out the execution.
Waymo self-driving trucks begin hauling for Google's data centers

"This parade will focus on the contributions of our veterans throughout the history of the USA military, starting from the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 to today, with an emphasis on the price of freedom", said the memorandum for General Joe Dunford, who chairs the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Organizers also reportedly hope to "highlight the evolution of women Veterans from separate formations in World War II to today's integrated formations". Also participating will be veterans groups and the ceremonial Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
When news first broke of Trump's intention to hold a large military parade, it was met with bipartisan disapproval over its potential cost and resemblance to events put on by dictators in countries like North Korea. "But the generals would love to do it, I can tell you, and so would I", Trump told Fox News in February. "It was two hours on the button, and it was military might, and I think a tremendous thing for France and for the spirit of France", Trump said in September.
