Trump tweets "DACA is dead" after spending Easter slamming Mexico, Democrats

U.S. President Donald Trump renewed calls for Congress to pass immigration legislation on Monday, one day after saying he would not consider a deal to protect young immigrants.

"Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!"

"Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large "Caravans" of people enter their country", he said in another tweet.

He said that the USA has "no effective border laws" and called on Congress to "immediately pass Border Legislation" again suggesting lawmakers invoke the "nuclear option" to abolish the filibuster.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama started the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2012. But he said that "Mexico has got to help us at the border, and a lot of people are coming in because they want to take advantage of DACA".

The galaxy had been imaged before but on second look, the team noticed it looked very different from other imaged galaxies. It turns out that a galaxy without dark matter is incompatible with models that replace it using modified gravity.

On Facebook, the conservative author Ann Coulter, who had condemned Trump for not securing border wall funding so far this year, urged the president to show and not tell.

In a series of tweets, Trump said "DACA is dead", blamed Mexico for immigrants illegally crossing the U.S. - Mexico border, and called on Congress to pass border legislation by invoking the "nuclear option", a change in rules both House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have rejected. "Democrats want No Borders, hence drugs and crime!" he added.

It was one takeaway from a long holiday break, during which Trump surrounded himself with the type of unwavering allies he's struggled to find in Washington, people familiar with their conversations said.

Alex Mensing of Pueblos Sin Fronteras told ABC News that numerous caravan travelers are fleeing violence and that they are hoping to reach USA ports of entry in Arizona, California, or New Mexico where they will claim asylum and likely be detained.

By traveling together, the immigrants hope to protect themselves from the crime and extortion that makes the route through Mexico toward the US border unsafe. They have very strong border laws - ours are pathetic. As I previously reported, seven of the top 24 countries for DACA applicants with the highest acceptance rate are in Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.

After a walk and a sacrifice bunt, shortstop Amed Rosario drove in two more runs with a single to make it 6-3. Three of his walks and the hit batsman scored after Martinez offered them free transportation.

And Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) tweeted that Trump is making statements about undocumented immigration that do not even apply to DACA.

In the interim, renegotiation talks on NAFTA have become progressively worse, and more combative, as trade representatives from Canada, and Mexico are forced to deal with the new, America First, demands of the Trump Administration. Participants say they hope to ultimately gain asylum or cross without papers into the country.

The president's position on DACA has frequently shifted. Now, despite promises to Dreamers to take action, he says "DACA is dead". "Remember, today is Easter Sunday", tweeted Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Trump critic who challenged him for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

The Mexican peso trimmed its losses in late NY session on news of the meetings, rallying from a session low 18.355 per USA dollar toward 18.20.

Finally, the president tweeted about "unredacted documents requested by Congress", calling it "an embarrassment to our country!"
