Choirs gather for Manchester celebration on the anniversary of bomb blast

As Manchester prepares to mark one year since the terror attack on the city's Arena which left 22 people dead, ITV News has been hearing from some of those who responded to the tragedy.

Tony Walsh's poem This is the Place, which he memorably read aloud outside Manchester Albert Square past year, was then recited by Louise Sharrock Sivill.

"Thinking of you all today and every day I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day."

"Today my thoughts and prayers are with those who were lost on that awful night, their loved ones who have so bravely battled to rebuild their lives; those who have courageously fought to overcome physical injury or mental scars; our first responders and emergency services and those volunteers and professionals who are continuing to help this community heal", May wrote.

Manchester United and England striker Marcus Rashford paid tribute to his home city, writing on the club's website about the "unimaginable" attack.
