Guatemala joins the USA in moving its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem

The Jordanian government Wednesday condemned the decision made by Guatemala to move its embassy to Jerusalem, following the United States move. Paraguay said it would join later.

Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales also said in December that the country would move its embassy back to Jerusalem.

The opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem on Monday triggered deadly clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces in Gaza and the West Bank.
