Watch InCycle's highlights from stage 7 of the Giro d'Italia above. Bennett was the last to launch his sprint but the Irish rider managed to edge out Elia Viviani and claim his first win in a Grand Tour.

Colombia rider Esteban Chaves won the 164-kilometer Mount Etna stage on Thursday, jumping to third place in the general classification of the Giro d'Italia.

The two rode in sync to the line where Chaves was given right of passage to take the stage win by the Briton.

"I feel relieved", Bennett, who was second, third, third and third on stages last year and third twice in this year, said afterwards.

N. Korea to hold 'ceremony' for dismantling nuke test site
Pyongyang has scheduled the dismantlement of its nuclear test site for sometime between May 23 and 25 depending on the weather. It is the latest move in a rapid sequence of events on the Korean peninsula triggered by the Winter Olympics in the South.

Yates's second place on the stage was good enough for him to take the race leader's Maglia Rosa (pink jersey) off BMC's Rohan Dennis - who struggled on the first mountain-top finish of this year's race.

"It was very hard to get Viviani's wheel, everyone wanted that wheel, and we had to fight for it".

After moving into the pink jersey on Mount Etna, this is exactly the sort of day that Simon Yates and his Mitchelton-Scott team-mates would have hoped for.

Groupama-FDJ rider Thibaut Pinot finished third, 26 seconds behind the leading duo in the same group as reigning champion Dumoulin, Tour de France champion Chris Froome and UAE Team Emirates rider Fabio Aru. "The guys then did an awesome job just to keep the break within three minutes, and finally we got some help from other teams". "It was a little bit stressful in the final but it's always like that".

Winnipeg Jets Advance, Scheifele Sets NHL Record
Winnipeg is 4-2 on the road in the playoffs after splitting a pair in Minnesota in its opening-round series against the Wild. In the playoffs, the 25-year-old has continued his outstanding play through 10 games, recording four goals and six assists.

Yates added: "I felt really good, I looked across the road and everyone was looking at each other".

Both stage eight to Montevergine di Mercogliano and stage nine to Gran Sasso d'Italia feature summit finishes at the end of 200km+ stages, with the latter being particularly brutish with what is effectively a 47km climb (with a few short descents along the way) at the end of a massive 224km stage.

In fact, many of them are packed with mountainous climbs and it will be a struggle for some of the fast man to make it as far as Rome on 27 May.
