Two injured in IN middle school shooting, suspect in custody

One child and one adult were injured during the incident.

Seventh-grader Ethan Stonebraker said the student was acting suspiciously when he walked into the room while the class was taking a test. "The situation resolved itself quickly and he was taken into custody". The Carmel and Noblesville fire departments confirmed that the shooter was in custody.

A student and a teacher were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of gunshot wounds.

"He's a hero", the student said.

Jeremy Seaman, who now lives in Arizona, said his brother was a defensive end for Southern Illinois University's football team and has never been a person to run away. "We know there are also many other victims as well, students that observed this, teachers that observed this, law enforcement officers that observed this, and we're gonna try to get through it". Authorities didn't have any information about their conditions. Two people were shot, a 13-year-old girl and a teacher.
