The Trump administration is demanding that North Korea completely and irreversibly dismantle its nuclear weapons programme. While the high-stakes meeting may proceed as planned, experts say it's unlikely to live up to the hype as ambiguity remains about the definition of denuclearization and whether the USA can convince the Kim regime that it can remain in power after giving up its weapons.
The U.S. team was being led by former United States Special Representative for North Korea Policy Sung Kim, the Post reported, while the DPRK team was led by Vice Foreign-Minister Choe Son Hui.
