FIFA responded earlier on Friday by banning Nyantakyi from "all football-related activity" for 90 days pending an investigation with a possible further suspension of up to 45 days.
A statement, signed by Information Minister, Dr Mustapha Hamid, said "Government is shocked and outraged at the contents of the recently-aired video documentary, which captures the investigation conducted into football administration by the journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, titled "Number 12: When Misconduct and Greed become the Norm".
"In the said report I committed a series of errors of indiscretion".
Salah hopeful of playing in World Cup opener
It had been feared he would miss the World Cup altogether, but his appearance in Cairo has reignited expectations. When asked if his future will be determined by Chelsea's summer business, Hazard said: "Yeah I want to know".
GFA president Kwesi Nyantyaki (pictured above) was also caught on camera allegedly requesting $11 million from undercover reporters posing as investors to secure government contracts. "This is by no means an admission of wrongdoing for issues on the video", the statement said.
"Having regard to the widespread nature of the apparent rot involving top GFA officials, NSA (National Sports Authority) officials, match commissioners, football administrators and referees, Government has chose to take immediate steps to have the GFA dissolved", Abdul-Hamid was quoted as saying by BBC.
Abdul-Hamid said interim measures would soon be announced.

Liverpool Reach £52.8m Agreement for Nabil Fekir
Fekir's agent has confirmed Liverpool are interested in signing the Lyon midfielder but also warned a deal was far from done earlier this week.
Federation Internationale de Football Association has not yet commented on whether any action will be taken over the GFA's dissolution.
After watching parts of the documentary last month, Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo asked police to investigate Nyantakyi, and the soccer official was arrested.
They will also drop out of the U20 World Cup.
Any FIFA ban could also affect the under-17 women's team, who are preparing for the U-17 World Cup; top club Aduana Stars, who are participating the CAF Confederation Cup; and the men's national team, who are due to play in three African Cup of Nations qualifiers later this year.
