Prince William is making the first official royal visit to both Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Though the visit has been billed as "non-political", the official itinerary for William's visit to Jerusalem holy sites stirred political controversy by listing the Old City as being located in the "Occupied Palestinian Territories".
Until now it had been British policy not to make an official royal visit until the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is resolved.
