Roseanne Barr says she 'begged' ABC to save her show

"ABC lost maybe $1 billion from this; this show was grinding out money hand over fist and they lost it all because somebody didn't say, 'Get that phone out of her hand, '" he said.

The 65-year-old actor tweeted that she offered to apologise for remarks that kicked up a storm and eventually led to the cancellation of the show which recently returned for a 10th season after a hiatus of two-decades. According to Variety, executive producer Tom Werner, co-star and producer Sara Gilbert, and showrunner Bruce Helford are in preliminary discussions with ABC to figure out a way to continue the series without its central star, Roseanne Barr.

"We always planned on reaching out to Roseanne eventually", he told The Daily Beast.
