Salon staff beat customer with brooms after she refuses to pay

Michael Lin, manager of the store, told ABC7 that he decided he wouldn't charge the women the $5 for the eyebrow wax, but the pair of customers argued they already paid for the pedicure, even though workers at the nail salon disagreed.

The cell phone video, which was posted to Facebook Friday, showed people in aprons grabbing a woman's shirt before another person started hitting her with a long object that looked like a broom handle as she tried to leave the salon.

Mercy Maduka, who posted the video, wrote on Facebook that the fight began when the customer refused to pay for a botched eyebrow job.

"Hitting them like animals", she said.

A brawl at a Brooklyn nail salon caught on video has led to multiple arrests and protests calling for the salon to shut down.

In video posted online, you can see employees using broomsticks to beat a woman and chase her out of the store. Nail salon worker Li Lin claims that Thomas punched and slapped her in the face, and dragged her on the floor, causing lacerations to the face and substantial neck pain.

Prosecutors were reviewing additional evidence and may later alter those charges, the station reported.
