A video of Harvey Weinstein aired on television Wednesday showing him boldly propositioning a woman who later accused him of rape and repeatedly touching her and stroking her arm and back during what was supposed to have been a business meeting.
Per Thompson, she had set up a meeting with Weinstein in 2011, when she was 28, at his company's offices in NY, to pitch him on working with her on advertising and marketing initiatives for films.
In the video Weinstein asks Thompson if she would meet him later for a drink in a hotel lobby, to which she agreed, with Thompson saying she believed this was to close the deal.
She told Sky News in an interview she had gone there to pitch to her tech start-up company's new video and analytics service to the marketing team.
Kerala nun writes to Vatican envoy against Jalandhar diocese bishop
Copies of the letter were sent to 21 others, including Cardinal Oswald Gracias and Delhi Metropolitan Archbishop, Anil Couto. Sources close to the nun, meanwhile, said that she might approach the police against the legislator's comments.
The conversation, captured on camera, sees Weinstein asking if he is "allowed to flirt" and stating that Thompson is "hot". "Give it to me", he says in the video.
Thompson also rejected critics who said she encouraged Weinstein's behavior. "That's a little high".
Speaking to Sky News about the ordeal, Thompson said Weinstein was an artist at his craft, and delicately caused confusion, unrest and discomfort in a situation in which he had power. Thompson is clearly on edge, trying to keep the boundaries of professionalism up while also attempting to appease the very rich and powerful man she is hoping to do business with.
"What they shared with us is that the video, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties".

"I never met anyone that I couldn't handle until Harvey Weinstein", she said. He will appear in court next week in relation to six counts of sexual assault that involve three women. "If he made a comment, I would try to catch it and return it in a way that felt a little safer than the way he threw it at me", Thompson told Sky News. However, she said when she arrived, he led her up to her room and raped her. She tried to fight him and get away from him along the way but he kept blocking her way. "He corned me, over and over again". Sky News reported that he then locked the door.
The recorded footage and the alleged rape are both part of a class action lawsuit against Mr Weinstein. "It was produced by Ms. Thompson to bolster her position in a civil lawsuit seeking money".
"This is a further attempt to publicly disgrace Mr Weinstein for financial gain, and we will not stand for it", he said.
